RV tailgating: park the rig, make a weekend of it
Not every stadium lets you sleep in the parking lot. The venues below run RV camping or RV-sized parking of their own — infield and trackside camping at the superspeedways, wooded lots along the road courses, and the few ballparks and stadiums whose lots were built wide enough to hold a motorhome on game day.
Each entry says what the RV situation actually is at that venue and which part of the year it runs, so you can tell a three-night basecamp from a drive-in afternoon before you book anything.
How this list is picked
A venue is listed here only when it operates RV camping or RV parking itself; nothing is added to fill out a map. Lot layouts, rig-length limits, prices and reservation windows are set by the venue and change from season to season — confirm them on the venue's own site before you reserve a site or a rig.
Race tracks
Motorsport is where RV camping is oldest and most organized. Many of these tracks sell camping alongside the ticket, and for three days the rig is the grandstand seat, the kitchen and the bed.
