Drag racing's biggest weekend — Labor Day at Indy, with camping steps from the staging lanes. Class A · Class B · Class C — rent the rig you drive.
A week in the paddock, not a weekend
The raceway sells its own camping and the regulars treat it as a week-long stay: the pits are open to spectators, so you walk between an engine teardown and your own grill. If trackside fills, the KOA at Greenfield is a full-hookup fallback about forty minutes east, and the Indiana State Fairgrounds keep full hookups on a hundred and seventy-five sites five miles from downtown behind a sixty-foot limit.
Labor Day is one of the busiest camping weekends of the year across the Midwest, so expect minimum-night rules on any pad you book. Nitro sessions are louder than anything else in motorsport; hearing protection is equipment rather than a preference, and that goes double inside the rig with the windows open.
