Marion County Park sits beside the track and is the reason a trailer works for this week: you park once and walk to the grandstands for all four nights. Space is limited and administered locally rather than by the raceway, so settle the camping question months before you settle the rig.
Des Moines is roughly forty-five minutes northwest and is the practical place to pick up a tow vehicle and trailer. If the county park is full, Walnut Woods State Park ten miles out from Des Moines has electric sites capped at forty feet. Dirt-track nights coat everything in clay, so close the trailer windows on the track side before the first heat rather than after it.
