The festival's site still shows the September 17 to 20, 2026 edition at Sawyer Point Park and Yeatman's Cove on the Ohio River. So far its only word about the next festival is an early call for vendors and entertainers. The festival began in 1976, when the German-American Citizens League, the umbrella of Cincinnati's German societies, worked with the Cincinnati Regional Chamber to add a citywide Oktoberfest to the Bicentennial, and the chamber still runs it as America's Largest Oktoberfest: Festhalle tents, entertainment stages and German food and beer along the riverfront. The chamber's advice for a downtown festival weekend is extra time to find parking, carpooling, rideshare or public transport, which for anyone arriving by RV means leaving the rig at camp.
