The Delaware State Fair has posted its 2027 run for July 22 through 31 at the fairgrounds in Harrington.
Camping through the fair is a program of its own rather than a walk-up campground. The fair takes applications from new campers starting January 15 each year and awards the first round of contracts on or about April 1, in a set order: livestock exhibitors first, then fair volunteers, then other exhibitors, then the general public. Once awarded, a contract can be renewed year to year. Campers bring their rigs to the grounds on the weekend before the fair opens, usually the Friday and Saturday, and the base fee covers the space and water for the ten days, with electric service billed on top. The fairgrounds have no sewer hookups: dump stations are on site, and no wastewater, gray water included, may go on the ground.
