Bristol's April weekend of short-track racing, with full-hookup campgrounds around the speedway.
What you need to know
Bristol Spring Race Weekend 2027 runs Apr 9–11, 2027, in Bristol, Tennessee. Ask for a signature site if you want a concrete pad and a grill already waiting; the speedway lists them apart from its standard asphalt and gravel sites.
Bristol Motor Speedway announced in August 2026 that its spring race returns to its familiar April slot in 2027, on the weekend of April 9 through 11, with racing on each of the three days and the Food City 500 on Sunday.
The speedway runs its own campgrounds, and they are built for rigs: level asphalt and gravel sites on paved roads, water, sewer and 30- or 50-amp electric hookups, a shower facility, Wi-Fi and ice, and signature sites with a concrete pad, fire pit, grill and patio furniture. Some sites run as large as 30 by 60 feet. Pets are allowed with restrictions. April in the Tennessee and Virginia highlands can swing from warm afternoons to frosty mornings, so a rig with a working furnace is the comfortable way to spend the weekend at the track.
Safety rules and an insider tip
Safety + legal. Campground roads fill with foot traffic on race days; drive the rig in slowly, keep generators and grills clear of neighbors, and plan a sober ride for any trip off the grounds.
Insider tip. Ask for a signature site if you want a concrete pad and a grill already waiting; the speedway lists them apart from its standard asphalt and gravel sites.
