Camping a towable inside the park
Towable camping in Yellowstone follows the park's rules more than anyone's preferences. Fishing Bridge is the only campground inside the park with hookups, and it takes hard-sided rigs only because of bear activity — folding campers and tent trailers must use the other campgrounds. Most in-park sites are dry camping with tight length limits, so measure your truck-plus-trailer combination before reserving and treat the posted limit as combined length, not trailer length.
Generator hours are restricted and some loops ban them outright. Food, coolers and anything scented stay sealed inside the rig or a bear box at all times, and rangers enforce it. If you want full hookups every night, the gateway towns of West Yellowstone, Gardiner and Cody run commercial parks within an hour of an entrance — check the park's current campground pages for what each loop allows before booking.
