The primary RV anchor on Chincoteague is Tom's Cove Family Campground (300+ sites with mixed hookup levels). Maddox Family Campground is the second town option. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge (USFWS-managed, the Virginia portion of Assateague Island) does NOT permit RV camping inside the refuge — day-use only.
